Under <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hklii.hk\/eng\/hk\/legis\/ord\/200\/s59.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Section 59(1A)<\/a> of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hklii.hk\/eng\/hk\/legis\/ord\/200\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Crimes Ordinance<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hklii.hk\/eng\/hk\/legis\/ord\/200\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chapter 200<\/a>), criminal damage includes \u201cthe misuse of a computer\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Misuse of a computer means interfering with the function of a computer, altering or erasing any programme or data stored in the computer, or adding any programme or data to the contents of a computer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Criminal damage (\u201cmisuse of a computer\u201d by altering data held in a computer) is an offence contrary to Sections 59(1A) and 60(1) of the Crimes Ordinance (Chapter 200).
