This offence is punishable  upon summary conviction by a fine of $2,000 and two years\u2019 imprisonment, and  upon indictment by imprisonment for five years.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hklii.hk\/eng\/hk\/legis\/ord\/200\/s24.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Section 24<\/a> of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hklii.hk\/eng\/hk\/legis\/ord\/200\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Crimes Ordinance<\/a> addresses a wide range of threatening conduct, the common  factor of which is intention to alarm the person to whom the threats are made.
